ABOUT US

Actions for Community Development (ACD) operates as a Non-Governmental Organization registered under the Sindh Social Welfare Act 2011. Our dedicated mission is to uplift and support the underprivileged and disadvantaged segments of society in Sindh, guided by the motto "Empowering Community," with a primary emphasis on adolescent girls, boys, and women.

In response to the enduring challenges posed by recurrent floods, particularly in the Dadu district of Sindh, ACD has taken proactive measures by establishing Vocational & Technical Training Institutes. These institutes are designed to offer essential skills training to the unskilled youth of Pakistan, specifically targeting the population bulge in rural areas of Sindh, where opportunities are often limited compared to developed urban cities.

FEATURE PROJECT

Since our establishment, ACD has consistently focused on critical areas such as health, women's empowerment, environment, and the provision of free formal and non-formal vocational technical education. Our overarching goal is to bridge the gap and create opportunities for those facing barriers to education and skill development, thereby fostering empowerment and sustainability within these communities.

Our particular focus lies in mobilizing and empowering communities through world-class training programs, promoting livelihoods and self-sustainability. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we are committed to providing equal gender-based opportunities and offering free training for all. Additionally, we actively promote political, religious, sectarian, and ethnic harmony as essential components of our community development initiatives.
